How it Works
You determine which patients need behavioral health support and refer the patient to Cerula Care. We handle your patient’s Cerula Care enrollment and consent forms.
Cerula Care’s team conducts virtual visits with the patient, assesses their behavioral health needs, and creates customized care plans including behavioral health care, coaching and medication management.
A Cerula Care behavioral care manager collaborates with you on a monthly basis to review the patient’s care plan. We will recommend specific medications selected by our certified psychiatrist.
In the collaborative care model, your practice is the billing provider. Every month, Cerula Care generates the bill for your billing team to submit to your patient’s insurance provider for reimbursement.

Why the Name “Cerula Care”?
By evoking the bright tones of cerulean blue, the name Cerula Care inspires optimism, positivity, and motivation. Chronic illness can feel limiting and isolating, and Cerula Care strives to help patients and providers change the ways we think about, feel about, and approach holistic care.
“Cerula” is also the name of a piece of wax historically used to erase passages from printed texts. For too long, stigma and taboos about behavioral health have held back our ability to give chronically ill patients the care they deserve.
So, we’re using cerula to erase harmful biases from conversations about behavioral health to create a more caring and compassionate ecosystem of care.
